Announcing the Outstanding Young Marylanders Program

The Maryland Jaycees are seeking to recognize the best and brightest young professionals in our state for their contributions to their community, profession, and personal development.  We are currently asking community members throughout Maryland to nominate any persons 18 - 40 who are worthy of consideration.

Up to three honorees will be named at “The Maryland Junior Chamber’s Outstanding Evening,” which will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2015 during the Maryland Jaycees 75th Anniversary Celebration at the Timonium Holiday Inn.

Donnell H. Householder,
75th President

Greetings Maryland Jaycees,

Welcome to 2015!  I am so very excited to be the 75th President of the Maryland Junior Chamber!

donnell profile 2015This is a big year for us. The Maryland Jaycees will be celebrating their 75th anniversary and the Junior Chamber International will be celebrating 100 Years of Impact. Expect the Maryland Jaycees to celebrate in style in the fall! How will you celebrate?

We are also fortunate to have Jennifer Ray of the Northern Baltimore County Jaycees serving as our 2015 United States Junior Chamber President. We are so proud to have her representing Maryland and will be making sure we are a shining star she can be proud of as well!

As I write this, I keep coming back to the thought of how in the world I ended up here. Being a state president was never something remotely in my mind when I first joined the Western Maryland Jaycees in 2004. Funny how things change! During my Jaycees career I have been a member of 2 chapters (Western Maryland and Hagerstown) and have held many chapter positions including President, Chapter Management Vice President, State Director and Secretary. I have also had the wonderful opportunity to serve at the state level as a District Director for the West District, Management Development Vice President and Membership Vice President.
