Celebrate, Learn, Network, Grow…

…at the Maryland Jaycees Convention. This is where Jaycees from across the state of Maryland gather together to celebrate accomplishments, gain knowledge on various topics through trainings and special guest speakers/presenters, share ideas on projects, and enjoy the company of friends and fellow Jaycees.

Conventions offer a unique glimpse inside the world of the Jaycees. Not only will you learn how to further your Jaycees experience through professional development workshops, but you can also grow personally through special presentations like “30-Minute Meals.” You will dine with friends and high-five your way to chapter and individual awards. Join the fun as a First-Timer and compete with other first time convention attendees to meet-and-greet and learn about the Jaycees through games and other activities. Take advantage of balanced programming and experience the total Jaycee concept with Passport to Leadership and celebrate recruitment success with the Fleet of the Chesapeake. Participate in Speak-Up and Write-Up competitions to showcase your verbal and written communication skills. Learn all about the subsidiary groups of the Jaycees such as the JCI Senate, the Ambassador Program, the Maryland Jaycee Militia and the Maryland Jaycees Crab Corps and how you can become involved. And when it’s time for more light-hearted fun, cheer on team members during the District Games.

You will leave convention inspired by others and motivated to create positive change within your chapter and community. You will have gained a wealth of knowledge on how to jump-start those changes and will have the tools you need to do so. And as with so many others, you will have met new Jaycees who will become lifelong friends. Join us for our next convention for “Good Times, Great People.” See you there!
