Chapter Officers wishing to submit for recognition by the Maryland Junior Chamber for Trimester Awards should complete the following online forms.
Submission Dates Explained:
- First Trimester May 7th;
- Second Trimester September 15th;
- Third Trimester (January 15, unless prompted earlier due to National Awards submissions)
Awards List
The following awards are given out by the Maryland Junior Chamber to recognize the achievements of our Local Organizations and members:
- Chapter of the Trimester
The Chapter of the Trimester award is presented to the chapter that is judged to have conducted the most comprehensive and effective overall programming for that month. The Chapter of the Trimester nomination should be submitted by the Chapter President to the Maryland Jaycees. The nomination should include details on the chapter activities, accomplishments, and impact on the community and members for the month. - Jaycee of the Trimester
The Jaycee of the Trimester award is presented to the individual who is judged to have contributed the most to their local community, their chapter, and/or to the Maryland Jaycees for that Trimester. The Jaycee of the Trimester nomination should include details as to the accomplishments or achievements of the Jaycee member during the Trimester. Specific impact to the chapter and community should be cited whenever possible. - Officer of the Trimester
The Local Officer of the Trimester award is presented to the Local Officer in each programming area that has contributed the most to his/her chapter, community and Jaycees as a whole. Awards shall be presented to each Programming area to include President, Community, Management, Individual, Membership and Administrative (Secretaries, Treasurers, etc). - Project of the Trimester
The Project of the Trimester award is presented to the Project Committee that has effectively run the project that has created the greatest positive impact upon their community. - Rookie of the Trimester
The Rookie of the Trimester award is presented to a new member, who is judged to have contributed the most to their local community, their chapter, and/or to the Maryland Jaycees for that quarter. The member should not have reached their first anniversary in the Jaycees. Specific impact to the chapter and community should be cited whenever possible. - Unsung Hero of the Trimester
The Unsung Hero of the Trimester Award, formerly the Helping Hands Award, is presented to the individual who is judged to have contributed the most to their local community, their chapter, and/or to the Maryland Jaycees for that month, but who has not been properly recognized. The Unsung Hero of the Trimester nomination should include details as to the accomplishments or achievements of the Jaycee member during the quarter. Specific impact to the chapter and community should be cited whenever possible. - Associate Member of the Trimester
The Associate of the Trimester award is presented to an Associate Member or a friend of the chapter who is not eligible for general membership, who is judged to have contributed the most to their local community, their chapter, and/or to the Maryland Jaycees for that quarter. Specific impact to the chapter and community should be cited whenever possible.
