SALISBURY, MD -   The Salisbury Jaycees are set to host the 68th annual Salisbury Christmas Parade on Sunday at 2 p.m. The parade begins at the corner of Civic Avenue and Mt. Hermon Road, continuing on Mt. Hermon to East Main Street before ending at Ward Street.  The judges' stand is located near the City Park fountain.

This year's theme is “A Very 'Bury Christmas,” celebrating everything that makes Salisbury special.  Approximately 100 entries are expected at this year's parade, including area marching bands and floats sponsored by local businesses and organizations.

New this year is an elevated sleigh for Santa to arrive in, designed and built by the Salisbury Public Works Department.  The grand marshal is Rick Danger, the alter ego of Vizion Creative founder Blair Carey, who has become known for his internet videos promoting Salisbury area events.

The rain date for this year's parade is Sunday December 14th.
